By defintion complimentary adds up to 90degrees. Therefore,16z-9+4z+3 =90==>20z-6=90==>
20z=96==>
z=95/20=4.8
Threfore,
16z-9= 16(4.8)-9 =76.8 -9 = 67.8 degree
and
4z+3 =4(4.8)+3 =19.2+3 = 22.2 degree
20z=96==>
z=95/20=4.8
Threfore,
16z-9= 16(4.8)-9 =76.8 -9 = 67.8 degree
and
4z+3 =4(4.8)+3 =19.2+3 = 22.2 degree

First Answer Best Answer
The complementary angles are angles that add up to 90 degrees.
The measure of angle 1 = 16z-9
The measure of angle 2 = 4z+3
angle 1 + angle 2 = 90
(16z - 9) + (4z+3) = 90
20z - 6 = 90
20z = 96
20 20
z = 96 = 24 = 4.8
20 5
angle 1 = 16(4.8) - 9 = 76.8 degrees
angle 2 = 4(4.8) + 3 = 22.2 degrees
The measure of angle 1 = 16z-9
The measure of angle 2 = 4z+3
angle 1 + angle 2 = 90
(16z - 9) + (4z+3) = 90
20z - 6 = 90
20z = 96
20 20
z = 96 = 24 = 4.8
20 5
angle 1 = 16(4.8) - 9 = 76.8 degrees
angle 2 = 4(4.8) + 3 = 22.2 degrees
