MindZinger is a free online resource for students. We connect students with others who can answer their questions, such as our smart, seasoned MindZinger tutors! We help people pass on their wisdom and know-how to those who are looking for help with a homework problem, assignment, essay or academic project. MindZinger is also a great way to find penpals from all over the world. And our forum is very helpful too.
What does "MindZinger" mean?
It means you've come to the right place to have your mind enriched and your questions answered!
Who Uses MindZinger?
Students of all ages use us--from junior high up through college and beyond. You have to be at least 13 years old (as required by federal law- see our terms) to use our service. We have users from all over the world, which is a lot of fun. The world is truly flat.
Does Using MindZinger constitute cheating?
Using MindZinger is very similar to getting help from a tutor or a smart friend. As we explain in our MindZinger Guidelines, using the service is not a replacement for doing the work yourself. You should use MindZinger (for example) when you're stuck on a particular math problem, having trouble brainstorming your essay topic or looking for advice on what classes to take. Also, whenever you answer a question, make sure you show your reasoning process step by step, whether it be helping solve a chemistry problem or giving guidance on a thesis statement. The goal is that students LEARN, in a helpful, fun, interactive community format. Absolutely. We run ads next to the questions and answers so please feel free to support us by checking out our sponsors.
Is my identity safe when I use MindZinger?
We have industry-standard encryption throughout the site. Users of MindZinger do not reveal their real name or actual email address. Each user can choose if and how they want to be contacted by others (see settings). Also, if anyone's question, answer, message or any other content is inappropriate, it can be reported to MindZinger immediately and our admins will deal with it promptly! We will ban users if necessary to make sure MindZinger is a great place for everyone else who wants to have fun and benefit from our services.
Who are the MindZinger Tutors?
People register as MindZinger Tutors to connect with students who are looking for direct one-on-one assistance either online or in person. One indicator of the quality of a Tutor is how many "recommended answers" he or she has received from other users.
